TURO GURO

Join TURO GURO, the Ateneo Summer Teacher Training Camp this April and May 2017!

Education specialists from Ateneo de Manila University’s  School of Humanities, School of Science and Engineering, and School of Social Sciences have joined forces to offer a diversity of seminar workshops especially designed for K-12 teachers in the Philippines. The seminar workshops are available this April and May 2017.

Participating in this summer’s TURO GURO are the Biology and Physics Departments of the School of Science and Engineering, the Filipino Department of the School of Humanities, the History Departments of the School of Social Sciences, the Ateneo Center for English Language Teaching (ACELT), Ateneo Teacher Center (ATC), the Jaime C. Bulatao Center for Psychological Services, and the Formation Institute for Religious Education (FIRE).

“Turo turo” refers to small eateries in the Philippines. Literally, the term means “point-point” because in such eateries, customers only need to point to the food they want from a wide selection of food on display. Turo Guro offers a similar wide array of teacher training programs for the K-12 teacher.
